I was first contacted by
Dan on November 17, 2025. This FG-360 would be the 112th
Japanese model
that we know of and number 196 overall. Hi David, I am the new owner of an FG 360 and I stumbled across your site while looking while for some information about it. I just moved to a new town, Calgary Alberta Canada, and wanted to get a guitar to keep at my office. I spotted this guitar on Facebook marketplace. My brother has an old Yamaha that I quite like, so I was intrigued and checked it out. It's been in a case in an attic for probably 15+ years. The price was not bad for a vintage Japanese instrument. From what I understand, the red label ones are more sought after. Body is in good shape for the age, and it had a nice sound despite the decrepit strings. The action is high but should be fixable. Tuners (original closed Yamaha) are functional and stable. It has the tan label that says Nippon Gakko. The s/n looks like 40713. Here are a couple pictures for you. I'm taking it to the luthier tomorrow to spruce it up. Cheers, Dan Our thanks to Dan for contacting us.
