Lake Placid 2016
In keeping with our annual tradition, we
took a weekend and spent it with Marcia's mom and her
siblings/spouses. This year's weekend was spent
from Saturday, May 14 through Monday, May 16 in Lake
Placid. We actually went up a day early to do some
waterfall hiking.
We stayed in a very nice, and very
large, vacation rental within walking distance of the
village. The daughter of the owner met us when we
arrived and it turned out she was from the Watertown
area. We strolled through the town Saturday and
had a late lunch in a restaurant in the downtown
section. Sunday was a rather damp day so we spent
much of it shopping downtown. The rest of the time
was spent relaxing at the unit. We were all up
early on Monday morning and were out of there by 7:30
AM. We took the day visiting and photographing
more waterfalls and didn't get home until a little after
11 PM.
